Core Lookout

Floor-to-ceiling glass, two bench heights, and a back wall that keeps the heat where you want it.

The Lookout is built on a simple asymmetry: glass at the front, solid timber at the back. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a full glass door put whatever you have — bush, garden, water, city — in front of you for the whole session. The closed back wall behind the benches does the insulation work, so you get the view without the heat loss an all-glass cabin pays for.

Before you buy — safety

Heat and cold immersion are not suitable for everyone. Do not use if you have a cardiac condition, uncontrolled blood pressure, a seizure history, a respiratory condition, or are pregnant. Check with your doctor first if you take beta blockers, diuretics or other blood pressure medication. Never use after drinking alcohol. Never leave children unsupervised near a plunge — all Core Wellness plunges ship with a child-locking insulated lid.

Two bench levels. Heat stratifies: the top bench runs meaningfully hotter than the lower one, so two people with different tolerances can share a session instead of negotiating one. In a single-bench sauna, somebody always leaves early.

Canadian spliced red cedar inside and out, for the fragrance and the way it holds heat without burning skin on contact. Non-slip waterproof timber flooring, two stainless reinforcement belts with multiple nail fixings, and twin timber bases lifting the cabin off the ground so the underside dries out after rain. Timber door handle on ball bearings — a small thing, but it is the part that gets touched twice a session for a decade.

A waterproof shingle roof is available for anything east-coast or exposed, and is quoted separately — ask us before you buy.

Factory-direct, not drop-shipped. Cabins and plunges come from a 25,000 m² manufacturer with 260 staff and seven dedicated production lines. We buy the container, so you get the factory price without the factory lead time.

Supplied without a heater

This cabin is supplied without a heater. A licensed Core Energy electrician supplies and fits an Australian-approved heater and issues a Certificate of Compliance for the circuit. The heater and installation are quoted separately — ask us for a quote with your postcode and a photo of your switchboard.

Who installs it

Core Wellness sits inside Core Solutions / Core Energy, a licensed electrical contracting business. Your heater is hard-wired by a licensed electrician who issues a Certificate of Compliance for the circuit. We are the people who install it, not an overseas seller with an email address.

What the research says

Evidence rating: strong (observational). Regular dry sauna use is associated with cardiovascular benefits in long-term Finnish population studies. These are observational cohorts, so association isn't causation — but the relationship is consistent and the effect sizes are large. We leave out claims we cannot support.

Warranty and returns

Covered by a 12-month factory warranty. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to this and are not limited by it. Parts and service are handled locally by Core Energy.
